Coming to Terms With Your Own Power - Part One
By JLee
Davis
Coming
to terms with the power inside of you is the first step on the
road
to awareness.
It
is a leap of faith.
And
for those who have never
pondered the ways of the spirit, it is a giant test of our fortitude.
Keeping the magnitude of this undertaking foremost in our consciousness,
let's take that Giant Leap of Faith into awareness.
Rule
Number One - This is the simplest thing you will ever do!
Rule
Number Two - There is ONLY Rule Number One.
This
awareness is truly the simplest thing you will ever undertake.
I
mentioned above of its magnitude. That word does not mean
difficult.
It means big, grand, all encompassing. The grandeur of
your
new undertaking will strike you at odd times on this road. A
cosmic
slap. Grand. NOT difficult.
You're
taking a Grand Leap here. If you're going to do this anyway,
can
you also do it with Trust? I know that's asking a fair bit, but
if
you trusted yourself to sign up for this series, then you must
want
to grow. To exercise your awareness and power. To attain
success
in your self and your ventures. To become more "you" than
now.
Trust
is not a prerequisite to growth or awareness. It comes "with"
growth,
not as a tool "for" it. For us to trust, we must have prior
experience
of good trust. So, pull from your inner self, that
feeling
of trust that is comfortable. Simple. Honest.
Simple.
You may think there can be nothing simple about power or
awareness
of self and the cosmos. Sounds very deep and
philosophical.
It can be. But only for those who are more
comfortable
with complicated concepts as opposed to simplicity. The
beauty
of simplicity leaves the conscious mind free to explore other
things.
Pondering too much, analyzing to death, examining piece by
piece....that
takes up tremendous amounts of energy and
concentration.
That energy and concentration could better be used
toward
moving you into the realm of Power and Awareness with ease.
It
would be like making plans to do a community run and deliberately
go
out the hour before and gorge yourself on a greasy heavy wonderful
huge
breakfast. Talk about slowing you down! Instead, with your
concentration
and energy firmly on the run, you indulge in a light,
healthy
snack, knowing your body needs its energy to run, not digest
heavy
heart killing foods.
Your
Self works the same way in conjunction with what the conscious
feeds
it. If you consume your conscious mind with worry, anxiety or
heavy
pondering, your Self cannot concentrate its energy on the
accumulation
of knowledge. Heavy thought has its definite place in
our
lives, but for this undertaking to power and awareness, we're
keeping
it simple.
So
far we have trust and simplicity. I am adding one more thing and
then
part one of your journey to your own power has begun.
Trust,
simplicity and commitment.
With
taking a look at this series, you're NOT exploring what I
present.
You ARE exploring what your Self is currently in need of
from
you. It might have been this series or another. The topic has
caught
the "eye" of your Self. And you subscribed. Make a
commitment
to your Self to continue this exploration of power and
awareness
with me for as long as your Self benefits.
That's
all. And it's not a huge commitment. Simplicity, see? A
simple
commitment to continue with me until your Self is full and
satisfied.
It might be half way, near the end or the very next
part.
Like telling yourself that you can eat all your favorite
desserts
until you don't want anymore.
Permission
to experience!
Trust
in your Self for bringing you here.
Simplify
your thoughts to leave Self free to explore.
Commit
to staying only so long as your Self wishes to.
Three
simple things for a powerful and growth-enhancing outcome. Not
a
bad deal.
